At PLSAS, we recognize the significant impact of individuals who engage with children, offering extended learning opportunities that enhance social-emotional skills, boost school attendance, and improve academic performance for young learners.
Did you know that Kids' Company, our program for before and after-school care, caters to approximately 792 students across school-aged and preschool childcare programs? Take a moment this week to express gratitude to the dedicated Kids' Company staff for their invaluable contributions in supporting our students to achieve their utmost potential!
During Volunteer Appreciation Week, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated volunteers in our district who selflessly contribute to the achievement of our PLSAS students, teaching and support teams, and the objectives of public education. To all our volunteers - your efforts are truly valued! 💙💛
Six Prior Lake High School student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent (NLI) on Wednesday, April 17. The NLI is a document used to indicate a student athlete's commitment to participate at an NCAA college or university.

At the April 8 School Board meeting, the PLSAS School Board approved the joint resolutions with the Savage and Prior Lake police departments, which formally allows us to re-establish our partnerships with them. Because of this change our SROs were able to return to our schools this week!
Officer Baker (at HOMS, TOMS and Bridges) and Officer Kelch (at PLHS) were thrilled to be back in schools this week forming relationships with our students and are fully immersing themselves in our school communities, to promote positive decision-making, and friendships.
